“Opening to Grace Somatic Studies offers professional training for practitioners in the fields of Counseling, Healthcare and the Healing Arts.”

Are you interested in Somatic Studies?

Opening to Grace Somatic Studies offers professional training for practitioners in the fields of Counselling, Healthcare and the Healing Arts.  The counselling field is currently in a paradigm shift from cognitive to psychobiological (Somatic) models of therapy.  The training focuses on relational and somatic approaches. This experiential format brings leading-edge information in neurobiology, trauma renegotiation and attachment work alive. Information becomes accessible and applicable through embodied learning and skill building explorations. Classes are held in a small group format and range from workshops, and staff training to a comprehensive full training certification program. The training prepares participants to work with others in a more informed, embodied and relationally attuned way.

Workshops

Workshops

The psycho-educational workshops I offer have a strong emphasis on safety that encourages playfulness, laughter, and reflection. The classes integrate left-brain learning with right brain experiences. I work from the premise that connection precedes learning.

I offer courses and short trainings that are specifically tailored to the needs of your team. The aim is to bring practical and clinical relevance to latest research in the field. Information is made accessible through experiential exercises, skill building practices and succinct written material.
“The most effective way to work with developmental trauma is through a relationally-based, body-and-emotionally-focused therapy with an empathic, psycho-biologically attuned therapist who is willing to be an active participant”
